• Wonderful news....joining us for the first time in Newcastle Salsa Congress..

Richard Voogt and his partner Manon will be both teaching AND performing.

Already well known and popular on the dance circuit both nationally and internationally here is a little about them:

Richard was originally from South Africa. He lived in America for a while and his mentor was Manuel Dos Santos. Now living in London, he founded Dsantos Dance UK, an African and Latin Dance Academy based in London. An ‘all rounder’ in terms of dance, Richard teaches all styles, salsa, bachata and particularly kizomba.

Richard has taught and performed at major

international dance conventions such as the Los Angeles Salsa Fest, MamboCity 5 Star Salsa Congress London, Mama Africa Kizomba Fest St Petersburg Russia, Aventura Dance Cruise USA, Antalya Mediterranean Latin dance festival Turkey, NYC Salsa Congress, Madrid Sensual Dance Symposium and Mzanzi Cape Town Salsa Festival, to name a few.

He is known for fun, relaxed classes where you will laugh as you learn.

Manon Batrel is from France and has danced since she was a child. At the age of 16 Manon started to learn Kizomba and later Bachata and Salsa. Manon started teaching over 2 years ago, specifically focussing on the ladies role in the dance, their technique and styling. In 2017 Manon moved to London where she joined Dsantos Dance UK as Richard Voogt’s dance partner, who now teach and perform together. Manon has taught and performed at various dance events including London Like Kizomba Festival, OneDance Fest UK, MamboCity Salsa Congress and Kizomba Sunrise beach festival Portugal among many others.

We are always looking to offer the very best teachers, music, DJ’s, performers, dance floors, photographers and experience to make our event even more friendly, inspiring and memorable and we are confident that these two will enhance what we have achieved already in the past 8 years. Year 9 is looking hot hot hot 🔥

A fantastic addition to our already star filled line up and we still have more to announce! Price rise is imminent so secure a £79 Gold Pass before it goes up and make sure you grab a dance with these two!
